Ultraviolet radiation, or UV for short, describes wavelengths within the range of approximately 180 - 380 nm. This UV range is divided into three groups:
UV-A radiation 380 - 315 nm
UV-B radiation 315 - 280 nm
UV-C radiation 280 - 180 nm
Furthermore, fluorescent and halogen lamps as well as LEDs are used in dental applications. These devices have a high Blue Light ratio. The Blue Light is within the spectrum 430 - 490 nm.
Depending on the duration and type of irradiation, the eyes have to be protected, by using suitable protective products. On the following pages we present some of our suitable products.
